1) Club Grounds:
The original Club property is located on Bruyn Turnpike in the Town of Shawangunk, Ulster County, New York. This is where the bulk of activities take place. On the property are: the club house, pavillion, rifle/pistol ranges, trap fields, sporting clays course, and archery range. The clubhouse is available to members and their guests only. Hunting is allowed on the property and includes deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, duck, and stocked pheasants. It consists of mostly mature hardwoods.
2) Mountain Property:
This property consists of mature woods on a mountainous terrain. It is located off of Upper Mountain Road in the Town of Shawangunk. There is a primative camp set up on the area for member use. The primary function is hunting access. Primary species include deer, turkey, squirrel, and grouse.
3) Burnt Meadow:
This parcel is Club owned property off of Burnt Meadow Road and lies in both the Town of Shawangunk and the Town of Gardner. The primary function is hunting access. Primary species include deer, turkey, squirrel, and rabbit. It consists of mature hardwoods, wooded swamp, & small brushy fields. The property is gated with the combination available to club members.
4) Walker Valley:
This property and is off of Basil Road. Do not park outside this gate. There is a parking area inside the gate. It can also be accessed off Vinegar Hill Road. The property is gated with the the combination available to members. The primary function is hunting access. Primary species include deer, turkey, squirrel, and rabbit. It consists of mostly mature woods. There is some stream fishing access available.
5) Albany Post Road:
This is the newest parcel of property and is on Albany Post Road. There is a parking at the two places where the property meets the road. The primary function is hunting access. Available species include deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit. It consists mostly of mature woods and their is some swamp.
6) Pheasant Stocking:
Pheasants are released every fall for the hunting enjoyment of our members. They are stocked on both our own suitable properties and on the property of cooperating landowners. This is a “MEMBERS ONLY” activity. Pheasants are currently stocked at 3 locations: main club property and cooperating landowner Van Duzer’s. Members may contact Corky Vandermark (895-1475) for more specific stocking info. All pheasants taken must be logged into the record book at the club house.
7) Fish Pond:
This is a small parcel on which our fish pond is located. It is located about 1 mile East of the Club on Bruyn Turnpike. The pond is routinely stocked with trout for both open water fishing and ice fishing. Local bass have been stocked by members. Pan fish have also found their way in. Two trout stockings are done each year: spring and fall. The pond is closed after each stocking to let the fish acclimate and disperse. The fall stocking is intended for ice fishing (safe ice permitting!). This is a “MEMBERS ONLY” activity. Members must be aware of our pond rules and follow them carefully.
